Patch salutes all of our military servicemembers and veterans on this holiday. A number of celebrations are taking place across the county and right here in La Jolla.
Check out all of the details about the Beaumont Avenue Fourth of July Parade in Bird Rock here and note that the fireworks show over the La Jolla Cove starts at 9 p.m.

All county offices, libraries and animal shelters will be closed Thursday but will resume normal hours on Friday. Open: county parks, campgrounds, neighborhood day-use parks.
Courts
All San Diego Superior Court business offices and courtrooms will be closed on Thursday. They will resume normal hours on Friday, but note that business offices close at noon on Fridays.
City of San Diego
All city offices, recreation centers and libraries will be closed on Thursday. Trash collection will be delayed one day. Normal collection will resume Monday, July 10. [See a full list of city open/closed schedules attached to this story.]
