Elderly Woman Robbed at La Jolla Grocery Store; Police Ask for Assistance

Two male suspects stole a wallet of a 80-year-old woman's shopping cart at Whole Foods Market late last month.

Law enforcement officials are asking for help to identify and locate two unknown male suspects wanted for grand theft.

An 80-year-old woman was robbed while shopping at the Whole Foods Market on 8800 block of Villa La Jolla Drive on Dec. 29. Police said two unknown suspects followed the victim while she shopped inside the store. While in the frozen food section, one of the suspects distracted the elderly woman by asking for the location of a food item, while the other grabbed her wallet from her open purse in the top of her shopping cart, police said.

Both suspects were last seen walking out of the store, according to the report.
