Drunk Driver Crashes Into 7-Eleven in La Jolla
The convenience store on La Jolla Boulevard at Westbourne Street was closed Thursday afternoon and evening as crews worked to clean up and secure the location.
A female driver drove her vehicle into the 7-Eleven on the 6900 block of La Jolla Boulevard in Windansea at 3:40 p.m., Thursday, according to San Diego Police.
An officer said the driver was taken into custody for drinking and driving. She allegedly tried to walk away from the accident before San Diego Police arrived on scene, the report said.
No one injured in the accident, according to police.
The convenience store was closed Thursday evening as crews worked to clean up broken glass and secure the location.
