Bicyclist Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Torrey Pines Road Accident
The accident reportedly occurred just before noon on Torrey Pines Road not too far from La Jolla Parkway.
A bicyclist was struck by a car on Torrey Pines Road Tuesday, according to a report by ABC 10 News. His injuries were reported to be life-threatening.
The accident occurred just before noon and closed the northbound traffic lanes for approximately 2 hours.
The news station reported that the bicyclist, a man in his 70s, was riding on the northbound side of the roadway when he appeared to struggle and weave.
"The bicyclist weaved into traffic and was struck by a car driven in the No. 2 lane by a female driver, the witness told police," ABC 10 News reported.
