Thousands of La Jollans and visitors flocked to parks, beaches and backyards to catch the annual Fourth of July fireworks show over picturesque La Jolla Cove.
Patch caught this year's show from the rooftop of the La Jolla Cove Suites. The local hotel, which arguably has the best view of the Cove and the fireworks show, amplified patriotic tunes that made a perfect soundtrack for all those in Scripps Park and beyond.
Fireworks filled the sky for 17 minutes in La Jolla and fireworks could be seen just north in Del Mar at the San Diego County Fair for a few minutes longer.
