Sur La Table Opening in La Jolla on Aug. 28
The specialty kitchen and cooking store announced on Thursday that it will open on Aug. 28 in La Jolla.
La Jolla has been excited for the opening of Sur La Table for several months now. The retailer, which sells cookware, dinnerware, cutlery, kitchen electrics, bakeware and other foodie gadgets, signed a lease at 7643 Girard Ave. in May and announced on Thursday it will open on August 28.
This is Sur La Table's third location in San Diego County. It has shops at Fashion Valley in San Diego and at the Forum in Carlsbad.

The company said the 6,563-square-foot store in La Jolla will employ more than 20 employees.
In addition to retail sales, the shop host cooking classes, private rentals and have a gift registry.

Hours will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
