Bye Bye Bardot; Ice Cream Shop Closes on Prospect Street

Bardot Bars served ice cream for just one year before closing shop in La Jolla recently. The parlor sold hand-dipped gourmet ice cream bars for $5 to $6 a pop from its prime location at 1025 Prospect St.

But don't worry. The space won't sit vacant for very long. Heavenly Couture, a women's apparel store, is said to open in the space in September.

If you are looking for a cold treat near the old Bardot Bars, try Gelateria Frizzante just a few doors down or Häagen-Dazs just a block away at 1172 Prospect St.
