Jared Whitlock is a freelance journalist who graduated with a bachelor's degree in Journalism from San Diego State University. In addition to writing for Patch, his work covering business, travel and entertainment has appeared in San Diego Magazine and the San Diego Union-Tribune. When he's not digging up stories, Jared can be found surfing at one of San Diego's beaches.
