Diane Y. Welch, Neighbor

Pleased to meet you friends of Patch and a pleasure to share this neighborhood with you! For those of you who don't know me, and many do in North County, I'm a professional biographer, journalist, award-winning author and now a blogger with Patch. This year I was honored with a People In Preservation Award for my ongoing project in bringing the life and work of architect Lilian Rice to the public. Something surprising about me that few know, is that I once worked for Donald Trump as a flight attendant. By the way, I wasn't fired! I quit when I relocated from Washington DC to San Diego.

I live locally, shop locally, and my kids attend school locally. In fact I "LOVE LOCAL". Part of my mission for my blog with Patch is to give local small business owners a voice to tell us about their passions, their products and their services as well as sharing news and events about local organizations, artists, authors and others.
