This preschool is part of an early childhood education program at the Jacobs Family Campus of the Lawrence Family JewishMore Community Center. A variety of programs are offered for children ages 9 months through pre-kindergarten. There are offerings of extended day care intended for working parents. La Jolla Symphony & Chorus is a leading promoter of classical musical performances in the San Diego area. EachMore season features talented individuals and groups to entertain audiences. Concerts are held at UCSD's Mandeville Auditorium. A map is available from UCSD's visitor office. Parking for the facility is in lots 206 and 207. Refreshments are offered from an outdoor coffee cart, including hot and cold beverages, pastries and snacks.

Music outreach and educational programs are available for student groups in elementary school through high school. La Jolla Symphony & Chorus also supports emerging musical artists through a Young Artists Competition. It holds Outreach Concerts in a number of San Diego churches and temples, as well.

The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego's (MCASD) collection features over 4,000 works of art created since 1950.More MCASD has long been the center of contemporary art exhibitions, public displays and educational programs. Both the local community and out-of-town guests enjoy viewing the interesting, bright and large galleries of contemporary art. The scenic, coastal location is a beautiful backdrop for both interior and exterior works of art. Make sure you walk around the museum grounds to truly appreciate the outdoor sculptures, especially the exploding display of boats viewed on the Coast Blvd. side.

Guided tours are offered Saturday and Sundays at 2pm, and on the third Thursday of each month at 6pm. MCASD promotes art education by the many programs they make available to local schools and youth groups. Special events and travel opportunities are available to members. And if you're looking to find a special location for a private event, the Axline Court and the Sherwood Auditorium are available to rent.

The MCASD X shop has all sorts of museum quality gifts to take home or send as presents. You'll find a full assortment of books, clothing, decorative items and children's products. Before leaving, make sure to stop by the refreshing Museum Cafe, which serves a local inspired menu. Breakfast, lunch and homemade sweets are tempting selections to end your inspirational day by the shores.
