Roll Up Your Sleeve for Patch & JCC Blood Drive

Patch and the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center will host a blood drive in La Jolla from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 31.

The emergency need for blood donors continues as effects of the worst summer blood shortage since 1996 persist, according to the American Red Cross. It said Southern California’s community blood supply remains in a fragile state and additional donations are needed to ensure an adequate supply is available through the end of the summer.

So La Jolla Patch is sweetening your incentive to give. Please come out to donate blood at an American Red Cross blood drive at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center Aug. 31. Patch will be handing out sweet treats to donors.

The blood drive is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, Aug. 31. To make an appointment visit the American Red Cross online.
