Photos: Party Animals Gather at Scripps Memorial Hospital

Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla hosted its annual volunteer recognition for therapy dogs on Thursday afternoon.

Two-dozen party animals attended this year’s Pet Therapy Volunteer Recognition Party at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla on Thursday. The party hosted by the Volunteer Services Department of Scripps Memorial Hospital recognizes the “exceptional work provided by this select group of therapy dogs for the well-being of the patients as well as the staff.”

The puppy party also allows therapy dog owners to get to know each other. In addition, Hospital Chaplain Rev. John Whitacre conducted a “Blessing of the Pets.”
