The hosted its volunteer recognition and member appreciation barbecue on Wednesday to thank its hardworking volunteers and active members.

An outdoor activity area was turned into barbecue venue. Members and volunteers lined up to enjoy ribs, chicken, beans, corn, salad and watermelon served by YMCA staff. Luckily lots of napkins were on hand. donated the sides. 

Sue Cubillas, La Jolla YMCA membership director, said the Y has 500 great volunteers including board members and fundraisers.
