Finding Hope a Home

La Jolla-based SNAP is looking to find a forever home for Hope, a cute 2-year old dog that was abused as a puppy.

Hope was brought to a shelter as a puppy with a rubber band around her muzzle. The band had been there for so long that it was embedded in her skin and caused her lower jaw to become necrotic. A portion of her lower jaw had to be removed.

Hope is now a 2-year-old mixed breed that looks like a mini shepherd and eats like a horse. Her foster mom Karen said she eats up all her food, chews on rawhide and enjoys fetch, but is a bit of drooler. She isn’t the daintiest eater and her tongue hangs out all the time, but she makes up for it in cuteness and affectionate snuggling. She is great with dogs of all sizes, and cats. She is a bit anxious around men she does not know, though.

This adoptable is being fostered by SNAP (Spay and Neuter Action Project) and is fixed, vaccinated, flea treated and microchipped. She has her annual dog license and her teeth were recently cleaned.
