4.5 million lives are saved every year through blood donations- We rely solely on volunteer blood donors to provide this life saving resource.

• One donation can SAVE 3 LIVES!!!
• Only 5% of the eligible population donates blood. In Southern CA, less than 3% do.
• Cancer is the 2nd most common cause of death in the U.S. Many cancer patients will need blood, sometimes daily, during treatment.
• The rarest blood type is the one not on the shelf when it is needed.
• As of July 2012, the American Red Cross is down 50,000 pints of blood nationwide, from what has been projected to the hospitals.
