La Jolla YMCA Gymnastics Director Honored at National Competition

The La Jolla YMCA gymnastics team traveled to Orlando, Fla. in July to compete in the USAG Team Gym Nationals alongside 1,000 other gymnasts from around the nation at Walt Disney World.  

Kristi Gorney, our gymnastics director was awarded the USAG’s Dave Moskovitz award. This prestigious award is given annually to the person who best exemplifies the spirit of group gymnastics through their achievements and contributions.

As far as the national competition, the La Jolla YMCA had three teams competing at levels 4, 5 and 6. All three teams scored very high and are in the top 10 in the nation.
