Two Patch Readers Win Tickets to 'An Iliad'

La Jolla Patch asked how many times has La Jolla-native Carrie Johnson gone to the Olympics?

Two lucky Patch readers won tickets to see An Iliad at the . Congratulations to Heather Haight and Ashley Shafer!

We asked how many times has  and  grad Carrie Johnson competed in the Olympics. And the correct answer was three times. She represented the U.S. in women's kayak single races in 2012, 2008 and 2004.

This year she placed,  in the women's kayak single 500m race and 200m race.

An Iliad is a one-man adaptation of Homer’s classic tale. The play is adapted by Denis O’Hare and Lisa Peterson. It is based on a translation by Robert Fagles and directed by Lisa Peterson.

The Playhouse said: An Iliad conjures the passion and rage of the gods and goddesses, and the mythic warriors in Homer’s sweeping epic, told through an original and immediate voice. A storyteller takes you to the front lines of every war in history, reliving humanity’s unshakeable attraction to violence, destruction and chaos. Has anything really changed since the Trojan War?

Don't worry if you did not win, you can purchase tickets for An Iliad online at LaJollaPlayhouse.org or by calling the Playhouse Box Office at 858-550-1010.
