There's Still Time to Sign Up for the La Jolla Half Marathon

The La Jolla Half Marathon and La Jolla Shores 5K is April 28.

There's just two more weeks to sign up for the La Jolla Half Marathon. Get your fingers moving to register online and your feet moving towards the starting line for the La Jolla Half Marathon on April 28, 2013.

The challenging course starts at the Del Mar Fairgrounds and heads south by Torrey Pines State Beach, Torrey Pines Golf Course, UC San Diego's campus, La Jolla Shores and finishes at the La Jolla Cove.

Registration Closes: April 24

Bib pickup: Bibs must be picked up at the La Jolla Half Marathon expo at Road Runner Sports at 5553 Copley Dr., San Diego, CA 92111 from noon to 7 p.m., Friday, April 26 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, April 27. Participants must have photo ID to claim bib numbers. A designated person may pick up your bib number with a copy of your photo ID. No exceptions regarding photo IDs.

Wave Start: This years half marathon will use a multi-wave start. However, everyone must be at the race start line at 7:30 a.m.

Course Time Limit: There is a 3-hour time limit (based on chip time). All participants must maintain a 13:44-minute-mile pace or faster throughout the event.

Parking and Shuttles: Race day parking is at the Del Mar Racetrack. Race organizers urge participants to give yourself an extra 30 to 45 minutes travel time before the race. You may also park at the La Jolla Cove and take a shuttle to the start line at the Del Mar Racetrack. These shuttles will run from 5 to 6 a.m. Your bib number is your ticket onto the shuttle. The last shuttle leaves the Cove promptly at 6 a.m.
