Start your New Year with a chilly dip into the Pacific. The La Jolla Cove Swim Club is hostings its annual Polar Bear Swim at La Jolla Shores on New Year's Day.
All you need to attend is a swimsuit (or last night's suit or gown) and a towel to warm you up.
The annual swim or dip takes place at at 10 a.m. Be sure to get there on time and join in on the group photo and the rush into the waters.
Last year the water temperature was a brisk 57 degrees.
