More than 4,000 athletes of all ages took part in Sunday morning's 5K and half marathon from Coronado to Imperial Beach.
Approximately 5,000 athletes took part in the Silver Strand 5K and Half Marathon Sunday morning.
Athletes competing in the half marathon (13.1 miles) went from Sunset Park in Coronado to Portwood Pier Plaza in Imperial Beach. The 5K took place in Imperial Beach.
Kosuke Amano, 27, from La Jolla had the best half marathon time of the day with a 1:14:29 finish time.

Laura Landry, 27, from San Francisco had the best 5K time of the day with a 18:06 finish time.
Some people ran wearing a tutu or carrying their baby for the 5K.

One man, disc jockey Allen Walker, jogged the 13 mile half marathon playing music like the P-Funk All Star's Flashlight.
