LJHS's Scarlett Hallahan Signs Letter of Intent to Play Water Polo for George Washington

George Washington University women's water polo head coach Scott Reed announced Wednesday that two Southern California athletes signed National Letters of Intent to join the Colonials, including La Jolla High's Scarlett Hallahan.

Hallahan, a left-handed attacker, helped lead La Jolla to three straight CIF Division III title games. She was selected to the All-CIF Western League second team last year, the U-T San Diego's All Academic Team in 2012, and named "Player to Watch" by the U-T in 2012 and 2013.

"Scarlett is a strong all-around player who will be able to run the offense from the right side of the field for us next year," said Coach Reed in an announcement. "She has a great water polo IQ and always works hard."

In addition to Hallahan, George Washington announced Jacqueline Bywater of Riverside Poly High School in Riverside signed a National Letter of Intent to join the women's water polo team.
