La Jolla Youth Baseball Kicks Off 2013 Season [Gallery]

LJYB celebrated its 2013 opening day at Cliffridge Park on Saturday, March 2.

Players, parents and spectators gathered at Cliffridge Park on Saturday to celebrate the start of baseball season in La Jolla.

In the opening ceremony at noon, Padres' President and CEO Tom Garfinkel threw out the first pitch. The Friar, mascot of the Padres, also made a special appearance.

Players celebrating their 10th anniversary in the league were recognized with certificates distributed by Vice President of La Jolla Youth Baseball Tom Murphy.
