End of Summer Fire Run Benefits SD Fire Rescue Sunday

The annual 4-mile run from La Jolla to Pacific Beach will be held Sunday at 8 a.m. There is still time to register for the race, which benefits the San Diego Fire Rescue Foundation.

It's not too late to sign up for a 4 mile run or walk on Sunday morning. The End of Summer Fire Run benefits the San Diego Fire Rescue Foundation, which supports fire fighters, lifeguards and paramedics in San Diego.

The course runs from Prospect Street and Fay Avenue in La Jolla south to La Jolla Boulevard and through Windansea and Bird Rock. The course then turns out Mission Boulevard in Pacific Beach and ends at Felspar Street.

Live music and a beer garden will await finishers.

The course is USAT&F certified. Transportation will be provided from the finish line to the start and awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age division.

Pre-registration will be help Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at PB Bar & Grill in Pacific Beach.

Race day registration will be held at the corner of Prospect Street and Fay Avenue in La Jolla.

Registration is $46. Checks can be made to "End of Summer Run."
