Bishop's Bounced from Boys Basketball Regionals

The second-seeded girls soccer team cruises into the semifinals with a 7-0 win.

JSerra of San Juan Capistrano used a 26-point third quarter to pull away from The Bishop's School and upset the host Knights 61-58 Tuesday night in the quarterfinals of the Southern California Division IV boys basketball regionals.

JSerra, seeded 13th, eliminated the fourth-seeded Knights, who were led by Dominique Love with 25 points and Dominique Watkins with 17, including 14 in the second half. Bishop's led 26-24 at the half but was outscored 26-15 in the third quarter to fall behind 50-41.

Knights take girls soccer quarterfinals: Kaylie Davidson, who is headed for Navy later this year, scored three goals to lift Bishop's to an easy 7-0 victory over Animo Leadership of Inglewood. Second-seeded Bishop’s will host Westlake Oaks Christian in the Division III semifinals at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
