8 Elite Athletes Named to UCSD's Hall of Fame Class of 2013

UC San Diego will induct the athletes its inaugural Hall of Fame class on Oct. 20 during Homecoming Weekend.

UC San Diego will induct eight athletes into its inaugural Athletics Hall of Fame class on Oct. 20 during Homecoming Weekend.

UCSD Director of Athletics Earl W. Edwards announced the inductees in late August.

"Establishing an Athletics Hall of Fame is another important milestone for UC San Diego," said Edwards in an announcement. "In so many aspects, this is an exciting time for our program and to be able to honor a group of individuals who played such key roles in its development is extremely significant. Their names are synonymous with excellence and even when stacked up against the plethora of great student-athletes who have passed through UCSD, they stand out."
