5 Places to Watch the Super Bowl in La Jolla

Leaving the cooking and cleaning to someone else. Here are five places to watch the game in style.

The countdown to kickoff is on. With the Super Bowl in just a few days, it is time to stock up on snacks and beer or think about leaving the details to someone else. Several bars and restaurant in La Jolla are planning the party for you. We have a list of five places to watch the game outside of the house.

And if you can’t make it out, tune in at 3:30 p.m. to NBC.

: This restaurant and club has 26 HD TVs, state of the art sound system, and 24 beers on tap. What else do you need? Oh, yea. Food. They will be serving up a full menu including the New York Steak for Giants fans, the Beer Battered Fish and Chips for Patriots fans and, of course, wings for football fans. : Any excuse to visit La Valencia’s Whaling Bar, is a good excuse. The Whaling Bar will offer red and blue specialty cocktails in honor of both teams' colors. Drink specials will be priced at $4 and $6 in honor of Super Bowl XLVI. Specials include Blacktop Blonde TailGate Beer or any domestic beer for $4; and Old Fashions, Manhattans and shots made with house-infused bourbon with cherry or blueberry for $6. : Across the street at Prospect Bar and Grill, there will be drink specials and sweet prizes. Prospect Bar and Grill is running a raffle with a chance to win a 40-inch HD TV. Plus, they will have $4 Coors Light pints ($3 with a college ID). This is the fifth annual Super Bowl party for Prospect Bar and Grill, and they know what they are doing. : Last, and definitely not least, is the La Jolla Brew House. The Brew House will offer game day specials including a Build Your Own Bloody Mary Bar and $10 Miller Lite pitchers. They have a 65-inch, wide-screen TV located on the patio, or see the action from one of the other 20 flat-screen televisions and eight plasmas located throughout the Brewery.
