12 La Jollans Complete Boston Marathon
Thomas Carroll, 71, was one of 12 La Jollans to cross the finish line in the April 18 race.
More than 300 La Jollans completed the La Jolla Half Marathon on Sunday morning. The course from the Del Mar Fairgrounds to the La Jolla Cove is considered one of the most picturesque courses in the U.S.
A day later on April 18, a dozen La Jollans conquered the Boston Marathon 3,050 miles away. The Boston Marathon is the world's oldest annual marthons. Nearly 27,000 participants entered the race.
