Win Two Tickets To See the Dalai Lama

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama is making his first trip to San Diego, and though tickets are sold out, Patch has your chance to see him.

Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama for a two day speaking tour at three universities. Tickets sold out within hours, but Patch has secured two seats for one lucky reader.

You could win a chance to hear the Dalai Lama speak April 18 at , where he’ll be talking about global warming, climate change and its effects on humans and the the economy. He’ll be asking the audience to think about how they can use compassion as a force for change that will sustain our planet. In light of that, we’re asking you to show us what small steps you’re taking every day that will protect our natural resources for the next generation.

Here’s how you can win the tickets: Take a photo of yourself incorporating environmentally-conscious practices in your everyday life. That can be anything from shopping with a reusable grocery bag, composting in your back yard, or rolling up your sleeves for a beach cleanup. Short videos will be accepted, too.

To enter, click on the button that reads “Upload Photos and Videos” (it’s above and below the photo). Upload your photo or video, and add a short caption explaining why you feel it’s important to be green. Your submission will automatically be entered into a random drawing for the tickets.

All submissions must be in by 10 a.m. PST on Friday, April 13. The winner will be announced at noon the same day.
