The San Diego Hall of Champions named 15 local professional, college and high school athletes as the Stars of the Month on Wednesday.
Locally, UC San Diego women’s soccer player Gabi Hernandez made the list. Hernandez, from Altadena, is a senior forward. She joins the following athletes:
- San Diego Chargers defensive end Corey Liuget
- Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Russell Allen, who attended Vista High School and San Diego State
- San Diego Sockers’ Kraig Chiles
- San Diego State running back Adam Muema
- University of San Diego's Joe Ferguson, football
- San Diego State's Tiffany Hurst, soccer
- University of San Diego’s Dan Delgado, soccer
- University of San Diego’s Katie Hoekman, volleyball
- Torrey Pines High School's Minjia Luo, golf
- Torrey Pines High School’s Sandy Choi, golf
- Francis Parker’s Michaela Dews, volleyball
- Cathedral Catholic’s Tatiana Durr, volleyball
- Madison High School’s Pierre Cormier, football
