The Preuss School Graduates Have 100% Acceptance Rate into College

The charter school on UC San Diego's campus will host graduation on Friday.

The Preuss School UCSD’s class of 2013 scored a perfect score—100 percent of its class was accepted into four-year colleges and universities. All these grads strive to become the first college graduates in their families.

The 100 percent acceptance rate is a first for the 10-year-old charter school.

Newsweek ranked The Preuss School the top transformative school and the Washington Post and U.S. News & World Report have both provided high ranks. In addition, The Preuss School has an Academic Performance Index Score (API) of 892, one of the highest in the county.

The Preuss School will host graduation on Friday at 4 p.m. on campus. A total of 96 seniors will move on to numerous colleges and universities, including UC San Diego, UCLA, Dartmouth College, New York University and Swarthmore College and Bowdoin College. Eighteen seniors will attend UC San Diego.

In addition, two seniors are recipients of the Gates Millennium Scholarship, which provides all educational expenses scholarships through undergraduate and graduate school.
