Diana Quincannon, Math and Science Teacher at The Children’s School, was selected to present at the Spring 2014 National Council of Teachers of Mathematics conference in New Orleans. This conference is the nation’s premier math education event.
“To be selected to present is an amazing honor,” said Quincannon.
Diana's presentation will be about how teachers can use benchmark fractions such as 0, 1/2, and 1 to help students develop a better conceptual understanding of the size of fractions, as well as their relationship to decimal and percent numbers.
