Stay Off Our Lot, Office Tells ANHS Parents

Drivers should steer clear of the Wolverine Way business complex when dropping off and picking up students at Aliso Niguel High, officials say.

An Aliso Viejo office complex wants parents to stay out of its privately owned parking lot when dropping off and picking up students at Aliso Niguel High School.

School officials are also urging parents to be courteous by not using the lot (at the top of Wolverine Way, at Aliso Creek) -- or driving through it as a short cut.

Meanwhile, the Sheriff’s Department has notified ANHS that many parents are illegally parking along the restricted OCTA bus drop-off area on the northwest corner of Alicia and Aliso Creek Road. Deputies will enforce the no stopping/parking zone with tickets, officials said.

If the powers that be hadn't cut funding so severely to the district, the kids would be in buses instead of the 400+ cars and parking would be a non-issue.

I saw all the teens at Ihop the other night. Looked a little ghetto. Also, parents need to stop parking off Wood Canyon where the elementary school is. Clearly there is a no parking sign. It gets crazy when cars are parked because of the crammed little street.

This has nothing to do with anything other than what is convenient for the parents who are picking up the kids. Rules don't apply to many of them. I see it at all the school levels. Elementary, Middle and High School. Buses may be part of it but that is where carpooling can help. I'm considering getting my child a pass on the OCTA bus. It'll drop right close to the school.
