Sammy Hagar Rocked La Jolla Saturday

Legendary rocker Sammy Hagar joined San Diego-based band Liquid Blue for a fundraiser for The Bishop's School on Saturday.

Last weekend, The Bishop’s School in La Jolla was rocking. Musician Sammy Hagar, formerly of Van Halen, and San Diego band Liquid Blue played for The Bishop’s School’s Baja Knights benefit for the school.

The U-T San Diego reported that Liquid Blue and Hagar performed two Hagar solo hits, two songs Van Halen songs—Why Can't This Be Love? and Finish What Ya Started, and several others including a Led Zeppelin cover.

The paper reported that The Bishop's School gig with Hagar came about through Marco and Janna Monroy, who are Bishop's parents. It said Marco Monroy is a business partner with Hagar.
