'Muirlands Rocks' to Help Keep Teaching Positions

Muirlands Middle School is holding a fundraiser full of food, family, fun and music.

Budget cuts suck! Come help out Muirlands Middle School in May while having fun with the whole family.

is a fundraising benefit and overall good time the first weekend in May. Due to recent budget cuts, the school needs your help. The Muirlands Foundation is hoping to raise funds for one of the three and a half teaching positions they will lose next school year.

Families can flock to the school on May 6 for some music by Muirlands Middle School alumni band , who draw from various influences such as jazz, rock and Dixieland.

The day will be punctuated by game booths, dinner sponsored by the Dimich Family, and LJRadio DJs.

Ready to kick back, relax, enjoy the music and support your school? Muirlands Rocks is being held on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at the . Various tickets can be purchased, such as a $10 ticket, that will get you a meal and two game booth tickets, as well as packaged tickets, like a $200 package that includes meal bracelets for your family (up to 6 bracelets), 40 game tickets and more.

Click here to see the various ticket offerings. Tickets should be purchased online by April 30. Tickets can be purchased at a higher price at the gates, but food is not guaranteed.
