Meet LJCDS Math Teacher Jean Ah Lee

Meet La Jolla Country Day School's new Upper School math teacher Jean Ah Lee.

Jean Ah Lee joins La Jolla Country Day School’s Mathematics Department as an Upper School Mathematics Teacher under the direction of Rod Jemison, Upper School Director.

Prior to working with LJCDS, Jean Ah taught mathematics in New York City, Guatemala City and San Diego. Her teaching experience ranges from grades seven to twelve. In previous schools, Jean Ah has also served as an advisor for a variety of extracurricular activities including a music program and student government association, and acted as a translator for parent-teacher conferences.

Jean Ah received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and upon graduation worked as an electrical engineer at Bose Corporation. She subsequently received a Master of Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

In her spare time, Jean Ah enjoys hiking, running, yoga, surf and travel.
