Meet LJCDS Math Teacher Dave Henshall

Dave Henshall joins La Jolla Country Day School’s Mathematics Department as an Upper School math teacher, under the direction of Roderick Jemison, Upper School Director.

Prior to working with LJCDS, Dave was a member of the Teach For America program, teaching both Middle School and Upper School mathematics in Phoenix, Arizona. During his two years of teaching in Phoenix, Dave taught seventh, eighth, Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2, and served as the department chair of the one man math department.

Dave received his Masters in Education from Arizona State University during his Teach For America commitment. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Duke University.

In his spare time, he enjoys Crossfit, playing soccer, and reading fictional spy novels.
