La Jolla Elementary Issues Hot Weather Advisory

La Jolla Elementary officials urge students to wear light, loose fitting clothing on Monday and Tuesday, and bring extra water to school.

Record high temperatures are expected to heat up the classrooms on Monday and Tuesday. The National Weather Service forecasts temperatures to hit 90 on Monday and 88 on Tuesday.

La Jolla Elementary School issued a reminder to parents on Sunday to have students come to school dressed in light, loose-fitting clothing and use sunscreen. It also encouraged parents to send extra water to school with students.

The school said it would limit outdoor activities on Monday and Tuesday.
