Spring Lecture Series at Birch Aquarium

Attend the Jeffrey B. Graham Perspectives on Ocean Science Lecture Series this spring at Birch Aquarium.

Scientists from Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego will give presentations on their research and new finds under the sea.

Each lecture is $8 and you can RSVP for them at the number listed below. Birch Aquarium admission and parking are included. Light refreshments will be served.

  • Vernon will describe various earthquake projects that began here when a massive 9.0-magnitude earthquake struck Japan last March.

Jules Jaffe, oceanographer and engineer

  • In conjunction with the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the luxury liner R.M.S. Titanic, Jaffe will recount his experience as a member of the science team at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution that discovered the wreckage in 1985.
