Neuroscience, a Newsman and a Novelist Coming Up at Warwick's

Appearances from June 21 to 22:

UC Santa Barbara professor of Anthropology Brian Fagan will appear at 7:30 p.m. June 21 to discuss Elixir: A Human History of Water, a look at 5,000 years of history, from the beginnings of civilization to the global water shortages of today. 

Neuroscientist and novelist (Sum) David Eagleman will discuss his new book, Incognito: The Secret Lives of the Brain at 7:30 p.m. June 22.  His exploration includes looks at brain damage, drugs, infidelity, criminal law, artificial intelligence and visual illusions.

Former MSNBC producer Chris Licht will appear at 7:30 p.m. June 23  to discuss and sign What I Learned When I Almost Died: How a Maniac TV Producer Put Down His BlackBerry and Started to Live His Life, which depicts his recovery from a brain hemorrhage.

Local author Michele Hebert dicusses and signs The Tenth Door: An Adventure Through the Jungles of Enlightenment, at noon June 26. Hebert recounts the story of her spiritual training with yoga master Walt Baptiste and her travels in El Salvador.

Award-winning author Elizabeth Cobbs Hoffman will be appear at 7:30 p.m. June 28 to discuss and sign Broken Promises: A Novel of the Civil War, a tale of romance and political intrigue.
