Roman Ruins: Ancient Italy From the Riviera to Calabria

The Roman ruins of Italy's west coast will be explored by art historian James Grebl, Ph.D. in a series of illustrated lectures.

April 21: Explore Pompeii's temples, theaters, amphitheater, markets, baths, luxurious mansions and workshops, among the structures uncovered since excavations began in 1748.

April 28: Sites ranging from the ruins of the emperor Tiberius’ villa on the island of Capri and the suburban villas located near Stabiae will be featured in the last lecture.
