Greenovation Forum

The Greenovation Forum is an ongoing collaboration of UC San Diego, industry, government, philanthropy and social-benefit organizations to promote San Diego's green technology sector.

"Rising Seas: Adaptation Strategies for Coastal Bays and Lagoons" will examine how two coastal cities, San Diego and Venice, Italy, are responding to a changing climate in their bays and lagoons. More than two -thirds of the world's large cities are vulnerable to rising sea levels and the livelihoods of those populatons are threatened.

The program features speakers from Scripps Institution of Oceanography, the Port of San Diego, and Consorzio Venezia Nuova, a group of Italy's leading construction companies responsible for building flood gates in the Venice Lagoon.
