For Local Businesses -- Sexual Harassment Prevention Training

Fisher & Phillips LLP, one of the largest national firms in the field of labor and employment law, will present a seminar, “Legally Required Sexual Harassment Training,” on Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Embassy Suites La Jolla, located at 4550 La Jolla Village Drive.

Now mandated by law, anti-harassment training is a wise choice for supervisors in all types of industries.  AB 1825 (Government Code Section 12950.1) mandates that all California employers with 50 or more employees provide at least two hours of harassment avoidance training to all supervisors every two years.  Additionally, new supervisors or newly promoted supervisors must receive the required training within six months of hire or promotion.

The seminar, which includes a continental breakfast, will be delivered by attorneys from the San Diego office of Fisher & Phillips who specialize in this area of law.  The seminar costs $95 per person or $85 per person for two or more individuals from the same company.  “The information learned in this interactive and practical workshop can truly help minimize harassment issues before they start,” said Chris Hoffman, managing partner at Fisher & Phillips in San Diego.

A “Train the Trainer” session for $250 will follow the morning program from 10:45 a.m.-12 p.m. for human resources professionals experienced in the area of sexual harassment training and investigations and will provide attendees the necessary tools to personally conduct sexual harassment training within their respective organizations.
