According to organizers, the symposium will "provide a thought-provoking forum to inspire new discoveries and expand our understanding of humanity." The Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibet, is said to share his views on upholding ethics, practicing forgiveness and tolerance, and coping with the challenges found in today’s society.
While he has visited more than 60 countries, this is reportedly the Dalai Lama's first visit to San Diego. He will be at UC San Diego and USD on April 18 and at San Diego State on April 19.
Tickets to the symposium titled "Compassion Without Borders" will be available online on Feb. 22.
