All Hallows Academy Greets President's Motorcade

Students and faculty waited outside All Hallows Academy on La Jolla Scenic Drive South to get a glimpse of President Barack Obama, who was in town on Monday for a fundraiser.

Students of took time out of the classroom this week to witness history in the making. The entire student body waited outside the school Monday afternoon to greet President Barack Obama, who was in La Jolla for a private fundraiser a few blocks from the school.

As the motorcade passed the school just after 2 p.m., students waved American flags and held up a “Welcome, President Obama” sign. The President could be seen through the window of his vehicle and reportedly waved and smiled back at the students.
