Judges will include local civic, corporate and community leaders from a variety of industries. “Our judges are well-respected individuals representing different business sectors who might not have a direct relationship with our local advertising industry,” Fox said.

“We are very excited about our new awards program because it highlights the ties between the Ad Club and the San Diego business community, as well as our industry’s role in supporting the region’s economy,” said Melissa Lopez, Ad Club board co-chair and director of performance marketing at Mindgruve.

According to the Ad Club’s board co-chair, Jonathan Bailey, founder/chief relationships officer of i.d.e.a., the Brand Diego awards will complement the Ad Club’s long-time annual ADDYs awards program. “While the ADDYs highlight outstanding creative work, The Brand Diego Awards will focus more on people and local brands,” he said.

More information and nomination forms are available at the San Diego Ad Club website, www.sandiegoadclub.com.  Nominations will close on Aug. 15. Judging will be completed by the end of August.

Founded in 1911, the San Diego Ad Club is the largest and oldest local networking and professional group for advertising and marketing executives with more than 300 companies representing about 700 members.
