Prospect Avenue Apartment Building Sells for $29M

A 60-unit apartment property at 400 Prospect St. in La Jolla recently sold, according to CoStar Group.

The San Diego Business Journal reported the sale of a 60-unit apartment building at 400 Prospect St. in La Jolla on Tuesday. The property, which sits at the intersection of La Jolla Boulevard and across from the icon Bishop's School tower, sold for $29 million, according to it's sources.

AIMCO Holdings LP was the buyer and the seller was Carolyn M. Holmer Irrevocable Trust, according to the SDBJ. It added that the four-story building sits on 0.65 acres

"A statement from CBRE said the site was a local landmark and the former summer home of Frederick William Kellogg and his wife Florence Scripps, before being redeveloped in 1970," the San Diego Business Journal reported.
