Reader's Choice: Torrey Pines Is the Best Local Golf Course
With more than 80 percent of the vote, Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla won the Best Coastal Golf Course title.

Readers had eight golf courses to choice from, including The Crossings at Carlsbad Golf Course, which was voted by GOLF Magazine as one of the Top 10 New Courses to Play.
Our readers voted Lomas Santa Fe Country Club into the Solana Beach into the second place spot. Lomas Santa Fe Country Club has two courses. It's 18-hole Billy Bell designed championship course is a par-58 executive course with tree lined fairways, lakes and large greens.

Other options in the Reader's Choice category were the and the Del Mar Country Club.
Torrey Pines attracts locals, tourists and professionals. It is the home to the Farmers Insurance Open each year. The PGA tournament brings the best of the best including local Phil Mickelson, Spencer Levin, Kyle Stanley, Bubba Watson and Tiger Woods to Torrey Pines Golf Course.
