Traffic and Transportation Board Elects Officers

The board adopted a policy that encourages the city to present proposed parking zone changes in La Jolla to the La Jolla Traffic and Transportation Board.

The La Jolla Traffic and Transportation Board met Thursday afternoon at the . Here are some of the highlights from the meeting:

  • At the start of the meeting, the board held officer elections. Todd Lesser was reelected chair, Tom Brady was elected vice chair and Van Inwegan was elected secretary. Nominations were held during the Aug. 25 meeting.
  • The La Jolla Traffic and Transportation Board adopted a policy that encouraged the city to continue to present any requests for the installation, modification or removal of on-street parking zones within the board’s jurisdiction to the board and the La Jolla Community Planning Association for review.
  • The board also recommended the city council adopt an ordinance that states the council will present any requests for the installation, modification or removal of on-street parking zones to the appropriate community groups. 

The next La Jolla Traffic and Transportation Board meeting will take place from 4-5:30 p.m. on Oct. 27 at the , 615 Prospect St.
