Tonight Is the Deadline to Declare Your Candidacy

Thursday's meeting at the La Jolla Recreation Center is your last chance to declare your candidacy for the La Jolla Community Planning Association.

The La Jolla Community Planning Association will hold its annual elections next month, and tonight is the deadline to declare you candidacy. A total of eight seats are open.

Interested candidates must be a member in good standing, meaning you have attended at least three Community Planning Association meetings in the past 12 months prior to the March elections, and must declare candidacy by tonight's Community Planning Meeting at the at 6 p.m.

"The commitment you will be making is to attend one meeting a month at least nine times a year as well as invest some time to familiarize yourself with items on the agenda–a small effort to participate in decisions important to our community," said Tony Crisafi, president of the Community Planning Association in an email. "We need to work together to ensure that the CPA trustees are representative of the various geographic sections of our community and its diversified interests."
