Street Repairs Made in District 1

Repairs included patched potholes, cleanups, and streetlight and traffic signal improvements.

San Diego City Councilwoman Sherri Lightner reported the following repairs, cleanups and improvements were recently made in District 1, which includes La Jolla, Carmel Valley and University City.

Potholes 

  • Patched potholes on Syracuse Avenue
  • Patched potholes on La Jolla Parkway
  • Patched potholes on Viking Way
  • Patched potholes on St. Louis Terrace

Cleanups and Repairs

  • Removed the unpermitted signs on Pearl Street 
  • Cleaned up fallen palm fronds, debris on Via Del Norte, Avenida Cresta, Avenida Cortez, and Vista De La Mesa 

Streetlights and Traffic Signals 

  • Installed “No U-Turn” sign on Del Mar Scenic Parkway
  • Repainted motorcycle parking spaces on Coast Boulevard
  • Evaluated traffic signal timing at the intersection of Fay Ave and Pearl Street 
  • Evaluated traffic signal timing at the intersection of Governor and Radcliffe Drive 
  • Installed additional “One Way” sign on La Jolla Boulevard for Sea Lane
